UVEX Community Workshop: Synergies And New Opportunity | March 13th–15th 2023

The First UVEX Community Workshop: Synergies And New Opportunities will be held 13–15 March 2023 at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA.

The Ultraviolet Explorer (UVEX) is one of two concept studies for the next NASA Medium Explorer (MIDEX) mission. It will take a deep synoptic survey of the entire sky in NUV and FUV bands, perform spectroscopic studies of local low-mass, low-metallicity environments, and probe the dynamic UV universe by providing swift follow-up to gravitational wave events, supernovae, and other UV-bright transient events.

This meeting will bring together experts in the community to discuss the benefit of the UVEX surveys to a broad range of research areas, with the goal of offering the community a detailed introduction UVEX's proposed capabilities and the science opportunities with the data archive.
