In years when it is offered, D.13 Astrophysics Pioneers solicits Astrophysics space and sub-orbital science investigations that are greater in cost, scope and capability than what is possible within the D.3 Astrophysics Research and Analysis suborbital and CubeSat program but are smaller in cost than what is possible within the Astrophysics Explorers Mission of Opportunity program.
ROSES-2023 Amendment 39 announces that D.13 Astrophysics Pioneers, which was TBD, will not be solicited this year. NASA anticipates this program element will be solicited in ROSES 2024.
On or about August 23, 2023, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2023" (NNH23ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2023 and will appear on SARA's ROSES blog at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2023/
Questions concerning D.13 Astrophysics Pioneers may be directed to Michael Garcia at michael.r.garcia@nasa.gov.
