The call for NASA Infrared Telescope Facility semester 2025B observing proposals has been released. Proposal Deadline for Semester 2025B (August 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026) is Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 5 PM Hawaii Standard Time. Available instruments are listed here. Remote observing is offered from any location with broadband Internet access for any project that uti-lizes IRTF facility instruments. Please review the information and use our Online Application Form.

Note that the IRTF now implements the Dual-Anonymous Peer Review (DAPR) of observing proposals. After fine tuning during the first few semesters of DAPR, the guidelines remain unchanged this semester. See the instructions for semester 2025B below.

Note also that at the request of NASA HQ the proprietary period for observing data has been reduced from 18 months to 12 months starting from semester 2025A and the date of the observation.

Observing time on IRTF is scheduled in 6-month semesters.
